THINKING OF KEEPING BEES, OR JUST WANT TO LEARN ABOUT THEM?
Come along to our country setting and spend time getting to understand these amazing creatures. For all experiences – suits & equipment are provided, you just need a pair of boots or wellies. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult. Sadly we cannot take children under 10 years old due to Health & Safety.

Beekeeper Experience Days
An Introduction to Beekeeping is our flagship experience. Our Beekeeper Experience Day will give an overview into the world of honey bees & beekeeping, the hive & equipment, how the colony of bees all work together and what happens in the beekeeping year.
You will put on a bee suit and head for the hives at our teaching apiary with one of our experienced beekeepers. This experience will take you inside a working beehive to discover the amazing world of the honey bee. You will see what it involves keeping bees, experience a hands-on session and get to do your own hive check. Afterwards you will have plenty of opportunity to put questions to our beekeepers while enjoying some well earned refreshments.
This is a lovely introductory session where you get to see, smell, and listen to the hives. It is an experience that will last with you forever and will enable you to see if you want to go into keeping bees and go onto further courses.

Dive into the fascinating world of bees with “An Hour with the Bees”!
Ever wondered what it’s like to peek inside a beehive? Are you curious about these incredible creatures and how they make honey? Then this exciting experience is for you!
Join us at Honey Bee Happy honey farm for a beekeeping adventure! In this hands-on session, you’ll get suited up in protective gear and explore a real beehive alongside our experienced beekeeper. They’ll guide you through the process of opening the hive safely and answer any questions you have about these fascinating insects.
This is a unique opportunity to see bees up close and learn all about their crucial role in our ecosystem. It’s an unforgettable experience for both adults and children*, and we guarantee you’ll leave with a newfound appreciation for these buzzing wonders.

Additional members: Each additional person is £50, with a maximum group size of 8.
